In order to protect pandas in the wild, the government is setting up nature parks. 动词不定式(二) 一、动词不定式的基本用法 1. 作主语。 eg: To see is to believe. 眼见为实。 【注意】为了保持句子结构的平衡,往往用it作 形式主语,而把不定式短语置于谓语动词之后。 eg: It’s dangerous for you to climb that tall tree. 2. 作表语:可以用在连系动词之后,主要表示 愿望、责任、义务等。 eg: 他的愿望是成为一名科学家。 His wish was to become a scientist. 3. 作宾语补足语: ① 在 tell, ask, want, order, teach, invite, wish, help, warm 等动词的后 面,接带to的不定式作宾语补足语。 eg:我父母总是叫我不要在深夜给别人打电话。 他们是对的,那样不礼貌。 —My parents always tell me not to call others late at night. —They’re right. It’s not polite. ② 其后接不带to的不定式作宾语补足语,这类动词为感官动词或使役动词,如:feel, see, hear, notice, watch, have, let, make 等。 eg:我经常听见这个女孩在隔壁房间唱歌。 I often hear the girl sing in the next room. 那个男孩弄哭了这个婴儿。 The boy made the baby cry. ③其后既可接带to的不定式,也可接不带to的不定式作宾语补足语,如:help等。eg:我经常帮妈妈做家务。 I often help my mother (to) do the housework. 4. 作定语:须放在所修饰的名词、代词之后。动词 不定式与被修饰的词之间是逻辑上的动宾关系。 eg:那个年轻人在干什么?他正在寻找住的房间。 —What’s the young man doing? —He is looking for a room to live in. eg:上周我去图书馆借了一些有关如何保护环境 的书。 Last week I went to the library to borrow some books on how to protect environment. 5. 作状语:可用作修饰动词或形容词的状语,一般放在其修饰的动词或形容词之后。 tell, ask, want, would like, wish, invite, encourage, teach等动词后接不定式作宾语补足语时,其否定形式是在to do前加not,构成not to do结构。 二、动词不定式的否定形式 eg:我妈妈经常告诉我不要在大街上玩耍。 My mother often tells me not to play in the street. 2. feel, see, hear, notice, watch, have, let, make等 动词后接不带to的不定式作宾语补足语时,其否定形式是直接在动词前面加not。 eg:让那个男孩别走。 Let the boy not go.
