Module 1 Relationships Unit 2 Our animal friends (Stage 1) Listening and speaking: Visiting the SPCA 设计说明 通过让学生猜一猜生活中常见的动物,让学生熟悉本课节话题,由此导入新课。学习生词,扫除语言障碍。将对话分成三部分进行学习,每一部分都先播放录音,让学生跟读,然后就对话回答问题,检验学生的理解能力。接下来,让学生分组练习朗读,并表演,锻炼学生的表达能力。然后讲解本课节的知识点,帮助学生夯实语言基础。最后结合当堂达标的练习,检测学生对本课节知识的掌握情况,查缺补漏。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握本课节新词汇:officer, society, prevention, cruelty, someone, puppy, thirsty, lovely, as, prefer。 2.能力目标 能听懂有关保护动物的对话,并回答问题。 3.情感目标 培养学生保护动物、爱护动物的意识。 重点难点 重点:掌握本课节新词汇。 难点:能听懂有关保护动物的对话,并回答问题。 教学准备 PPT课件;活动Listen and act的录音;有关动物的图片,如兔子、鸟、鱼、狗、猫等 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1. Guessing game. Show some pictures. Let the students guess which animal it is. T: It has red eyes and long ears. Answer: Rabbit. T: It has a small mouth and a long tail. It can sing and fly. Answer: Bird. T: It has no legs or arms, but it has a big tail. It can swim. Answer: Fish. T: It has four legs and a short tail. It likes eating bones. Answer: Dog. T: It has four legs and a long tail. It likes eating mice. Answer: Cat. T: It is a young dog. Answer: Puppy. 2. Pair work. Ask the students to work in pairs. Ask and answer like this: S1: Which animal would you like to keep as your pet? S2: I’d like to keep a … as my pet. Task 1 1. Play the recording. 2. Ask the students to listen to the dialogue and repeat. Task 2 1. Ask the students to read the dialogue and answer the questions. (1) Where are Mr Hu and his students? (2) Who is the man on the left? (3) What is the SPCA? 2. Ask the students to check the answers in groups. Answers: (1) They are at the SPCA. (2) He is an SPCA officer. (3) It is the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Step 4 Learning dialogue two Task 1 1. Play the recording. 2. Ask the students to listen to the dialogue and repeat. Task 2 1.
