Module 3 Diet and health Unit 11 My food project (Stage 3) Reading: An interview at the frozen food factory 设计说明 让学生说出自己的食物课题研究以及要采访的问题,由此引发学生的思考,导入新课。呈现本节课的生词。让学生读对话、听对话,培养语感。另外,结合对话及采访问题,进行回答。还可以设置完成短文的活动,提升学生的理解能力和归纳总结能力。讲解部分知识点,并做题检验,巩固所学知识。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 学习本课节新词汇:freeze, skin, refrigerated; 掌握句型:Where do you get the fish from? How do you get the frozen fish to the shops? 2.能力目标 能够读懂采访的文章;能够提炼大意并抓住关键信息。 3.情感目标 培养学生做事情的计划性,并鼓励他们敢于表达,积极与人沟通。 重点难点 重点:学习本课节新词汇、掌握句型。 难点:能够读懂采访的文章;能够提炼大意并抓住关键信息。 教学准备 PPT课件;活动Look and read的录音;有关生词的图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Let the students think and say. (1) Think about your food project. (2) What questions would you like to ask in the interview? Step 2 Presentation Present the new words: freeze, skin, refrigerated. freeze v. (使) 冻结;结冰 baby: soft skin →skin n.皮;皮肤 refrigerate v. 使冷却;冷藏 Step 3 Listening and reading 1. Peter has written some questions for his interview at the frozen food factory. Give the students time to read his questions. 2. Let them read the dialogue in “Look and read”. 3. Play the recording. Ask the students to listen. 4. Select pairs to read out the dialogue. Step 4 Read and write Activity 1 1. Ask the students to read and answer the questions in “Read”. 2. Check the answers. Answers: (1) We get the fish from fishermen. They catch the fish in the sea. (2) We take away the skin and bones. (3) We freeze the fish because we want to keep them fresh for a long time. (4) We get the frozen fish to the shops in refrigerated trucks. Activity 2 1. Peter is writing a passage about his interview. Let the students help him complete it. The manager told me something useful about the frozen food. They get the fish from (1)    . Then before they freeze them, they (2)     the skin and bones. Do you know why they freeze the fish? They freeze the fish because they want to (3)     for a long time. How do they send the frozen fish to the shops? They get the frozen fish to the shops in (4)    . 2. They can check their answers in groups. 3. Check the answers.
