(课件网) Unit 9 Everything is made in China! Listening and speaking I. Teaching Analysis: A)This period is the star of the unit, it is to review the knowledge of the Ss about the topic of the goods. I t’ mainly deal with the listening and speaking. As we all known the listening and speaking is very important for language learning, they always come in front of reading and writing. If the Ss can learn this period well, it’s easily for them to learn the rest of the unit. B) Our students from the countryside and lack of the environment to speaking English, so it’s necessary for us to create some situation for them to use the language. Teaching Aims: Knowledge aims: a) can use sentences b) master the words 2.Aility aims : a) Ask for and give information on products b) can describe products 3.Emotion aims: have a confidence about our country and proud for her. II. Teaching Methods: According to my analysis and the new standard of the new lesson, I mainly use Tasked-based Method and Communicative Method. Most activities are finished in groups. III. Learning Methods: I will help Ss to use these strategies to finish these learning task: 1. guessing what they will listen from the information given in titles and try to get the main idea 2. try to get the main idea from the material IV. Teaching Procedures: Step 1: Lead-in T: Look at my dress, can you tell me what it’s made of S: It’s made of cotton. Let’s talk about what your clothes are made of Ss discuss in groups and write down the words. (Write them in the cards) (T goes around the groups and give the some tips) Step 2: Show the pictures in the screen and try to do Activity 1 on Page 143. Step 3: Create a situation: Mary is buying sth. in a shop, but it’s not easy for her to understand the question, can you help her (Ss begin to do Activity 2,T goes around and check the answers) Step 4: Check the answers. Step 5: Read the title of Activity 3, try to understand the meaning of the title and guess what they will listen. Step 6: Listen to the tape and finish the two questions. Step7: Check the answers and talk about the main idea of the listening material. Step 8: Listen to the tape and try to fill in the blanks. (for our students, T can pause in some related information. Step 9: Check the answers and show in the blackboard. Step 10: Listen again and the Activity 5. Step 11: Read the dialogue one sentence by one sentence. (T: Pause the tape one sentence by one sentence. Step 12: Have a competition: The Voice of Class One As we all know a TV program called The Voice of China, which is very popular in 2012 from Zhejiang TV.
