Unit8 Apples are good for us. Let’s talk Listen and say(Page 44) Learning and teaching objectives: To learn how to ask people what fruit they like and how to respond. Have pupils look at the picture of the fruit stall in the book. (Page 44). Revise the fruit words with pupils. Using the fruit words from the picture, ask Pupils: Do you like … And teach the children how to answer the question. Then we present the new patterns. Help Ps understand the pictures and ask and answer.\ Play the Kingsun and let the children to answer the questions: What do they want to buy Why How many apples do they buy Why Go into the difficult item: be good for and make lots of examples. Teaching the children to be nice and good at home. Be fealty. Act out the dialogue. Have fun in exchanging some of the fruit items and make new dialogues. Fun with language To listen and understand sentences referring to singular and plural quantities. This consolidation listening task contains sentences referring to singular and plural quantities of animals, fruits and objects. Help the kids recall the words referring to animals, fruits, and objects that they have learnt. Ask Ps to look at the eight small pictures in the book. Revise the vocabulary items if necessary. Explain the task, giving an example if necessary. Then play the recording and start the listening task. Give pupils enough time to write in the numbers. 2. Play the game(Page 46) (1) Ps work in pairs or in groups in this guessing game. P1want to know and guesses what fruit there are in the bag that P2 is holding. (2) Bring some toy fruits to the class. Alternatively, ask Ps to help you by bringing some fruit to the lesson. (3) Explain the rules of the game and make good use of the pictures in the book. (4) Invite several Ps to play the game in the front of the class, changing the contents of the bag after each round. 3. Listen and write To practice listening for quantities that are expressed as some or a number. Ps talk about the fruit they like and possess. Make Ps pay attention to the word “some” the children in the story are using. I like … I have … practice with the help of the PPT> When Pupils have finished the last question, play the recording again and let the children to check their answers. 4.
