Book 12 Module 10 unit 1 We’re going to different schools. Teaching aims : 1.students can master the main ideas of the speech from Lingling . 2.They can talk about the speech from these 2 parts :excited&sad 3.They can master the sentences :We’re going to leave our primary school and start middle school this September. I’m sad to say goodbye .We’re going to different schools. And some new words :Geography/Keep on… 4.Moral aims : Keep on doing anythings you try. And treating things from different points . We’ll be friends forever. Teaching procedure: Step 1 Warming 1.Have a short free talk with the students . 2.Teacher is very excited because we’re going to have an English class with you .I know you’re wonderful and you’re always good at learnig English.This class ,I hope you can keep on Practising .Speak a lot .Then you can get more . In fact ,these days ,I’m excited ,too.Because there’s an important thing going to happen in QINGDAO.Do you know it ?Yes,it’s because of Shanghai Coorperation Organization . 3.For you ,it is special in JUNE ,too. Talk about their summer plan which middle school are they going to go to . Then watch the video of part one and find out :which middle school is Sam/Daming go to Step 2 Presentation 1.watch the video and find out How does Lingling feel Excited Sad And why is she excited and sad 2.Read part 2 by yourselves and then find out why is Lingling excited (present the mind map) 3.Read in pairs and find why is Lingling sad At this part ,let them enjoy 2 videos about Middle School in the UK and Lingling’s time from Grade 1 to Grade 6. Step 3 Practise 1. Have a competition between boys and girls and talk about questions of the activity book on page 38. For children who get it ,they can have chocolate. 2.Enjoy a video of their 6 years together and then write something about their middle school. Then let someone come to the front and share the speech. Step 4 Sum up and Homework for today.
