Erhu / Hua Yanjun / Liu Tianhua; Piano / Mozart / Chopin Welcome to the unit The erhu is a kind of traditional Chinese musical instrument invented in the Tang Dynasty. Hua Yanjun and Liu Tianhua were two well-known erhu artists and composers. The most famous piece of music created by Hua Yanjun is Moonlight on the Second Spring. Liu Tianhua was famous for Moon Night and Birdsong over Empty Mountain. Welcome to the unit The Piano was invented in Italy in the early 18th century. Mozart was an Austrian composer, famous for Symphony No. 41 and Piano Concerto No. 23. Chopin was a Polish composer and pianist, famous for the Minute Waltz. Welcome to the unit Mozart Chopin Appreciation How do you feel when you listen to Moonlight on the Second Spring and Symphony No. 41 A Bing’s Moonlight on the Second Spring awakens sadness in me. Listening to the soft sound of the erhu reminds me of the composer’s tough life. By the end, my sadness is replaced by admiration for A Bing’s amazing talent. When I listen to Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, it makes me feel full of energy. I felt so struck and amazed that I didn’t realize the music was over. It is fun to listen to. Pre-reading 1.
