Unit 4 Information Technology Writing Workshop 学习目标 1.掌握本节单词、短语及句型的表达与运用。 2.掌握人物简介的写作方法。 词汇运用 1. amazing 词性:_____ 意思:_____ an amazing achievement/ discovery/ success/ performance 惊人的成就/ 发现/ 成功/ 表演 amaze vt. 使惊奇 amazed adj. 感到惊奇的 be amazed at/ by 对……感到惊讶 be amazed to see/ find 惊讶地看到/ 发现 It is amazing that... 令人惊讶的是…… amazement n. 吃惊 in amazement 吃惊地 to one's amazement 令人吃惊的是 amazingly adv. 令人惊奇地 练习:It's _____ that he is only 18 years old. 2. have…in common 意思:_____ in common with 与……一样 have much/ a lot in common with 与……有许多共同之处 have something in common with 与……有一些共同之处 have everything in common with 与……一切都相同 have little in common with 与……几乎没有共同之处 have nothing in common with 与……没有共同之处 练习:We have a friend _____. 句型解析 (教材P18)That's why I believe that books about foreign cultures or imaginary worlds are the best! 那就是为什么我认为关于国外文化或虚幻世界的书籍才是最棒的! 句中why引导表语从句。 表语从句 (1)That/ This/ It is why+结果:那/ 这就是为什么…… That/ This/ It is because +原因:那/ 这就是因为…… The reason (why…) is that… (……的) 原因是…… (2)引导表语从句的关联词种类: ① 可接表语从句的连系动词有be, look, seem, sound, appear等。 At that time, it seemed as if I couldn't think of the right word. 当时,我似乎怎么也想不出一个恰当的字眼来。 ② 从属连词 whether, as, as if/ though引导表语从句。 It sounds as if someone is knocking at the door. 听起来好像有人在敲门。 ③ because, why引导表语从句。 That's why he got angry with me. 那正是他对我生气的原因。(That's why...强调结果) 注意:what引导的主语从句表示结果或名词reason做主语时,后面的表语从句表示原因时要用that引导,不宜用because。 ④ 连接代词 who, whom, whose, what, which, whoever, whatever, whichever。 连接副词where, when, how, why。 The problem is who we can get to replace her. 问题是我们能找到谁去替换她。 ⑤ 从属连词that。 The trouble is that I have lost his address. 麻烦的是我把他的地址弄丢了。 ⑥ 使用虚拟语气的表语从句。 在表示建议、劝告、命令等含义的名词后的表语从句,谓语动词需用“should+动词原形”表示,should可省略。常见的词有:advice, suggestion, order, proposal, plan, idea等。 My suggestion is that we (should) start early tomorrow. 我的建议是我们明天一早就出发。 写作天地 人物简介 人物简介一般为记叙文体,主要用于历史名人介绍,著作者介绍,主要人物介绍,自我介绍和求职信,等等。 (1)首先介绍人物基本情况,包括姓名、性别、年龄、职业、出生地、出生时间和现在学习工作所在地等。 (2)其次介绍该人物的成长经历,包括家庭背景或教育背景等。 (3)主要事件,包括学习经历、工作经验、个人能力、兴趣爱好、获奖证书、突出贡献等。 (4)对人物的评价或自我评价。 常用表达 (1)生日和出生地 …was/ were born in...on... (2)家庭背景 was/ were born in/ into a poor/ rich family his/ her family was so poor that... his/ her father was very strict with him/ her the son of a poor family when he was a little bo ... ...
