Unit 2 Let’s play sports Reading (Ⅰ) 一、教学目标 1. 重点词汇:player, member, club, in one’s free time, enjoy, hope, dream, come true 2. 重点句型: He is a new member of Huanghe Football Club. He comes from Guangdong. It makes him happy. Li Hua wants to play in the next World Cup. I hope his dream comes true. 通过读,获取有关Simon最喜欢的足球明星的相关信息。 区分每段的段意并能梳理人物介绍的要点。 运用所学介绍自己最喜欢的运动员。 热爱运动,并能向自己喜欢的运动员学习。 二、教学重点及难点 重点: 1. 引导学生通过阅读获取段落大意及细节信息。 2. 引导学生运用所学介绍自己喜欢的运动员,并能学习运动员身上的优秀品质。 难点:对篇章结构进行梳理,并依据所学介绍自己喜欢的运动员。 三、教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up 1. Show pictures and ask Ss what sports they are. 【设计意图】以简笔画的形式激活有关运动词汇的认知,并顺利导入本课话题。 2. Ask Ss to interview their partners about his/her favourite sports and favourite players. A: What sport do you like B: I like … A: Who is your favourite player B: My favourite player is … A: Where does she/he come from B: He / She comes from… 3. Ask Ss to do a report about their interviews. Hi, I’m… This is my friend… He / she likes …. … is his / her favourite player. … comes from… 【设计意图】通过扮演小记者采访同伴最喜欢的运动和运动员,并做出口头输出,帮助学生回顾之前的词汇和句型。 Step 2 Pre-reading 1. T Introduces his/her own favourite player and teaches new vocabulary. 【设计意图】通过老师介绍自己最喜欢的运动员,并在语境中引导学生学习新单词,为引出下文做准备。 2. Ss look at the pictures and learn the new words. 【设计意图】通过看图片说单词,帮助学生进一步巩固词汇,为完成阅读任务做准备。 Step 3 While-reading 1. Read the passage quickly, and write the correct paragraph numbers in the blanks after reading. 【设计意图】通过快速阅读,引导学生关注文章的主要内容。 2. Read Para. 2 and find out the information about Li Hua. 【设计意图】通过分段阅读查找李华的信息,并引导学生进行信息总结,有助于学生发现篇章结构。 3. Read Para. 3 & 4 and answer the questions. 【设计意图】通过分段阅读并回答问题,引导学生关注李华的其他信息,并在检查答案之后,引导学生进行信息总结,有助于学生分析篇章结构。 Step 4 Post-reading 1. Guide Ss to summarize the organization of the passage. 【设计意图】通过总结篇章结构,帮助学生梳理可以从哪些方面介绍运动员。 2. Ask Ss to work in pairs and talk about their own favourite players. Offer some expressions to help them. 【设计意图】利用范本,指导学生如何用英语谈论自己喜欢的运动员,同时激发学生发现这些运动员身上的优秀品质,并向他们学习。 Step 5 Summary Summarize what they’ve learnt in this class. 【设计意图】通过总结和梳理,在下课前帮助学生回顾所学,强化记忆。 Step 6 Homework 1.
