TPR: The teacher gives some orders, the pupils do the actions. 2. Do the actions and let the pupils guess what you are doing. Step III. Presentation 1.Bring in pictures of pupils playing the games. 2.Introduce the games using the real objects. Write the names of the games on the board. Ask the pupils Can you play…. Mime each of the games for the pupils (two hands moving upwards for volleyball ect.)Say and write the names of each sport after you mime it. Hold up a word card and ask the pupils to mime. Step IV Practice Open the books. Read the child’s bubble. Get the pupils to point to the correct photo. Point to the other photos and ask the pupils to make similar sentences about the games the children are playing in each of them. Tell the pupils what we always need to say play plus the names of these games. 4. Ask the pupils to tell you about the games they play. Step V Consolidation and homework 1. Play a guessing game. Divide the class into two teams. The teams take it in turns to nominate two pupils to come to the front. Show the pupils a slip of paper with the name of a game on it and get them to read it silently. Tell them to draw a picture of the game on the board. The members of their own team guess what the sport is. They get a point for each correct guess. If the first team cannot guess the other team can try. Keep score on the board. Read the text again.
