Book 1 Unit1 Hello! (2nd period) I. Teaching contents 粤教版三年级起点三年级上册 Unit1 Hello (the 2nd period) Vocabulary and Target Song ,Activity1 and 2 II.Teaching Flow Chart III. Teaching Aims A. Ability Aims 1. Students are able to greet each other with the new words: Hello! Hi! Goodbye. Bye. 2. Students are able to make new friends by using “ Nice to meet you!” and say hello to their friends in daily life by using “ Hello! How are you ” suitably and politely. 3. Students are able to learn English easier and happier by group work or pair work. 4. Students’ thinking abilities are able to be cultivated through the teaching activities gradually. Including its flexibility, agility, originality and critical thinking. B. Knowledge Aims 1. Students are able to listen, speak, read and write the words: hello, hi, goodbye, bye. 2. Students are able to read and recognize the names: Bonnie and Boomer. 3. Students are able to ask and answer the names by using “ What’s your name I’m…” C. Emotion Aims 1. Cultivate students’ interest in learning English through the assessment of group work. Including three aspects: accuracy, corporation and voice. 2. Promote students’ ability and consciousness of group cooperation by encouraging appraisal. D. Learning Strategies 1. Students are able to learn the new words happily and easily through the video , the pictures and song. 2. Students are able to learn through the corporation of group works. E. Culture Aims Know about the manners of greeting. IV. Teaching Key Points Students are able to master the new words and learn the new structures of greeting. V. Teaching Difficult Points Telling the differences between making new friends and saying hello to friends in our daily life. VI. Students Analysis Students are about eight years old. They have learnt some simple daily English in Grade1 and Grade2. But they are new to learn English in Grade3. They still don’t know the ways of learning English and they are not familiar with the English instructions used by their English teacher. Besides they are not easy to concentrate on things. So we should pay more attention to the class management, the assessment and the habits of learning English. We can involve them in learning English by singing, dancing, playing games, having competition and corporations with each other. VII. Instructional Strategies 1. Teaching methods In this class, I mainly use visual teaching method, TPR, activity approach, and communicative teaching to involve our students in learning English. Just create a relaxed and happy environment for the students. Just insist on having my students loving learning and using English. 2. Teaching aids (1)With the multimedia teaching course-ware, students are able to understand and learn the new words and structures easily.
