The language skill and knowledge of this unit focus on the central topic “news”. And this reading material is about the conversation between a new journalist and his boss. I. Teaching Material B Teaching Objectives 1. Knowledge objectives: (1) Students will learn the qualities a good journalist needs to have and the steps of covering a story. (2) Get students to learn some new expressions, such as cover a story, get a scoop… I. Teaching Material B Teaching Objectives 2. Ability objectives: (1) Enable the students to talk about qualities needed to be a good reporter. (2) Train the students’ reading ability like skimming, scanning, and guessing. I. (2) Increase their interest on journalist, and let them realize they need to work hard to find a good job. I.
