To arouse students’ interest and introduce the topic. Stage One 1. Learn the ways to express definite and indefinite intentions. To help students distinguish definite and indefinite intentions and practise expressing them to show what they are going to do on the show. 2. Listen to three sentences and identify the types of intentions. 3. Express definite and indefinite intentions. Stage Two 1. Make suggestions for the time of the talent show and learn how to give advice using “had better”. To help students make suggestions, express intentions and give advice to make a draft plan. 2. Discuss and make some decisions on places, hosts and judges. Stage Three 1. Discuss about the plan in groups and write down specific information in the table. To apply the ways to express intentions, make suggestions and give advice to make a detailed plan. 2. Show the process of discussion and give advice on the detailed plans. 3. Conclude the consensus.
