Unit 4 Using language 学案 【本课目标】 1.通过对课文的阅读,在具体情境中理解和掌握现在进行时的被动语态。 2.通过学案的归纳,巩固内化重要的语言点,并学以致用。 【知识自主预习】 lack　v.没有,缺乏 n. 缺乏;没有 (课本P43) While some say contemporary art lacks skill, meaning and artistic value, others argue that its worth lies in its ability to stimulate new discussions and understanding of everyday objects, such as water pipes and iron wires.尽管有人说当代艺术缺乏技巧、意义和艺术价值,但另一些人认为当代艺术的价值在于它能够激发人们对日常物品的新的讨论和理解,比如水管和铁丝。 (1)lack sth 　　　　　缺少某物 (2)a lack of… 缺少…… for lack of… 因为缺少…… (3)lacking adj. 缺少的;没有的 be lacking in sth 缺少(某种素质) 【读一读 练一练】 (1)What we lack in this house is space to store things. 我们这所房子缺少的是储物空间。 (2)It is just because he is lacking in determination that none of his plans ever comes through. 正是因为他没有决心所以他的计划才没有一个成功的。 (3)She felt nervous, increasingly 　　　　　　　confidence in herself. 她感到紧张,对自己越来越没有信心。 (4)The plan was a good one, but it had to be given up 　　　　　　　support. 这个计划很好,但因缺乏支持而不得不被放弃。 【语法学习】 现在进行时的被动语态 一、基本概念 现在进行时的被动语态同主动语态一样强调在目前或现阶段正在进行的动作。现在进行时的被动语态由“am/is/are being+及物动词的过去分词”构成。 1. 表示此时此刻正在进行的被动动作。如: A storybook is being read by Jim at the moment. 2. 表示现阶段正在进行的被动动作。如: A new dormitory is being built in our school. 3.表示反复进行的被动动作, 通常和always, constantly等词连用,含有厌恶或喜欢的感彩。如: To my surprise, that book is always being read by him. 4. 表示按计划或安排将要进行的被动动作。如: A party is being held on Christmas in our school. 二、使用现在进行时的被动语态应注意的问题 1.在现在进行时的被动语态中be为第一助动词, being为第二助动词, 缺一不可, 且位置不可互换。此结构若缺少being, 则成为一般现在时的被动语态或系表结构。试比较: My father is being examined by the doctor now. 现在医生正在给我父亲检查。(现在进行时的被动语态) Usually patients are examined by doctors first, but in the future machines that can “read” your body may examine you. 通常,病人先由医生检查,但是在未来,可能会由能“读懂”你身体的机器给你检查。(一般现在时的被动语态) 2.及物动词短语是一个整体, 在被动语态中不要遗漏后面的介词或副词。 The children are being taken good care of in the nursery. 孩子们在托儿所正得到很好的照顾。 【互动练一练】 ●Ⅰ 把下列句子变成被动语态 1.My brother is making a model plane. 2.Her neighbour is taking care of her baby. 3.Mrs Wang is mending the boy’s shirt. 4.The boys and girls are decorating the classrooms. 5.
