Unit 3 Could you please clean your room Section B (2a-2e)教学设计 一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标: A. 能掌握以下单词、短语:stress, waste, any, fairness, since, neighbor, ill, drop, independent, in order to, develop children’s independence, depend on, take care of, a waste of time, spend time on B. 能掌握以下重点句型: 1) make sb. do sth. 2) let sb. do sth. 3) do not mind doing sth. 4)There is no need for sb. to do sth. 5) It’s not enough to…… 6)The+比较级……,the+比较级…… 2. 技能目标:能读懂描述家务劳动等相关话题的文章;能针对学校或家庭某一问题简单发表自己的观点。 3. 情感目标:培养学生热爱劳动,与父母分担家务的观念。使学生主动帮助家人做家务,学会照顾自己,培养自己的独立意识。 二、教学重、难点 1. 教学重点: 1) 语言知识目标中提到的短语及句型。 2) 阅读技巧:通过略读快速了解文章大意。 2. 教学难点:利用课文中学到的短语及句型,针对学生是否应该承担家务展开辩论。 三、教学流程 Step 1 Greeting Step 2 Duty report Step 3 Review Make a list of chores using these verbs. 1. do _____ 2.clean_____ 3. make_____ 4. fold _____ 5.sweep _____ 6. take out_____ Step 4 Discussion 2a. The Sunday Mail magazine invited parents to write about whether they think young people should do chores at home. Skim the following letters. Which one agrees and which one disagrees 了解阅读策略: Skimming 意为“快速掠过”。因此,我们可以把这种读法理解为快速浏览课文,领会文章大意。一般而言,通过标题可知道文章的主题。对文章的段首句和段尾句要多加注意,以便发现作者的观点。 Answer the questions : (1) Which one agrees and which one disagrees (2) What is Ms. Miller’s opinion (3) What is Mr. Smith’s opinion Step 6 Reading 2c. According to Mr. Smith and Ms. Miller, what are the pros and cons about kids doing chores? Read the letters again and finish the chart. Step 7 Language points 1. waste 1)不可数名词 浪费,垃圾 I hate waste. Housework is a waste of time. 2)及物动词 浪费 People shouldn’t waste food. Don’t waste water. 2. spend: 花费时间或金钱,其主语是人。 (1)spend time/money on sth. 在……上花时间/金钱 e.g. She spent 50 yuan on the skirt. We should spend more time on schoolwork. (2)spend time (in)doing sth. 花时间做某事 e.g. He spent 2 years (in) writing the book. 3. in order to “目的是,为了” 后面接动词原形,可放在句首,也可放在句中。 e.g. She studies hard in order to get good grades. 为了取得好成绩,她努力学习。 4. It is the parents’ job to provide a clean and comfortable environment at home for their children. 此处代词it仅为形式上的主语, 真正的主语是to provide … for their children。我们也可将It is one’s job (duty, …) to do something. 视为一个固定的句型, 表示“做某事是某人的工作(职责等)”。 provide v. 提供,供应 provide sth. for sb.= provide sb. with sth. 为某人提供某物 e.g. Parents often provide their children with some good advice. =Parents often provide some good advice for their children . 5. depend ... ...
