Teaching Plan Module 6 Animals in danger Unit 1 It allows people to get closer to them. Ⅰ. Analysis of the teaching material This unit is from Module 6 Animals in danger, Unit 1 It allows people to get closer to them,the book of Grade Eight A. The topic of this module is Animals in danger. The grammar point is the use of infinitives as object complements and adverbials of purpose. This is the first lesson of this unit. Through the learning of the part of listening, students can talk about their favourite animals and how to protect the animals in danger. Ⅱ. Analysis of the students The students are in Grade Eight from No. 46 Middle School. For better students, let them listen for specific information and talk about their opinions about how to protect animals in danger. For poorer students, let them learn about the basic words, expressions and sentence structures about animals in danger. Ⅲ . Teaching objectives 1. Knowledge objectives 1) Key vocabulary — snake, neck, thin, danger, in danger, at last, interested, allow, protect, think of, wild, grow, take away, enough, look after, raise 2) Key structures — …because it allows people to get closer to them. Your money pays to look after the animals. Let’s find out what else we can do to save as many animals as possible. 2. Students choose their lucky numbers from1-9 and guess what animal it is in each one. (Use the game to attract the students’ interests in animals.) 2. Learn new words and expressions with the help of the riddles.
