Then they use their diaries to schedule activities with their partners and choose an after-school activity that they can do together. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task. Part A Pupils fill in the first diary on Copymaster 1. They write activities on three different days in their diary. Pupils may look at the activities provided on Copymaster 2 as a guide. Tell them to make sure they are free on four days. Part B Pupils get into pairs and find one activity that they both like. Pupils then exchange information about their schedule and find out their partner’s activities. They also find out on which day they are both free. Then they write their partner’s activities in their partner’s diary. Part C Pupils write the activity they agreed on doing with their partner in their diary. More able pupils could tell the class what they and their partners are going to do and when. Write activities on three different days in your diary. Make sure you are free on four days. Choose an after-school activity to do with your partner. Find a day when you are both free.
