Module: Happy days Unit: Festivals and holidays Task 6 Choosing an invitation Task description In pairs, pupils talk about two given invitations – to a picnic and to a boat trip. Then they choose to go on either the picnic or the boat trip. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task. Pupils get into pairs. Give Pupils A the invitation on Copymaster 1 and Pupils B the invitation on Copymaster 2. They talk with their partner about the invitations. They choose one of the invitations. They ask and answer questions about the picnic or boat trip. More able pupils could design and write their own invitation card and read it aloud to the class. Get into pairs. Look at the invitations.
