Appreciate Li Bai’s romantic style of poetry. IV. Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead-in T asks Ss to guess who the poet is according to the descriptions. T: Hello, everyone, nice to meet you! First of all, I will make some descriptions of a famous Chinese poet and you guess who the poet is. He grew up in the most glorious period of the Tang Dynasty. He had a love for liquor. He was best known for his rich imagination and free expression of strong feelings. He was Du Fu’s good friend. S: Li Bai. T. Yes. Li Bai created many poems in his life and we are quite familiar with some of them. Now read the poem “A Night Stay at a Mountain Temple” on page 53 and fill in the following table.
