They’re talking about how they get to school, how far it is from their home to school and how long it is take them to get to school. 【Why】This text provides a context for grammar learning of how-question. Learning grammar in context can deepen their understanding of the usage of this how-question and help them to use how-question in daily life. 【How】The words and sentences used in this dialogue are simple and clear. So it’s easy to understand. Besides, this dialogue is so closed to students’ school life that they can understand it easily. 学生分析 【Know】Students have a general understanding of how-questions. Besides, some key words and expressions in the dialogue have been previewed before this class. 【Want to know】Students want to know more about how-questions.
