Period 4 （Section B 2a-2e） 设计说明 本节课是阅读课，学习时应注重阅读策略和阅读技巧的运用及阅读能力的提升。在阅读文章时，让学生注意每一段的第一句或最后一句，这常常是该段的主题句。并且在阅读的过程中注意学会将重点内容记在笔记本上，这样能对文章有一个整体而又清晰的认识，从而更好地理解文章。本节课将通过小组讨论、教师展示、阅读、补全对话、做笔记、复述等方式让学生对新加坡的语言、食品、特色动物园和气候特点等有一个整体而清晰的认识。了解世界文化的多样性，建立跨文化意识。 教学目标 1. 知识目标 （1）掌握单词和短语：thousand，safe，simply，fear，whether，Indian，Japanese，fox，equator，whenever，spring，mostly；thousands of，on the one hand... on the other hand...， all year round。 （2）掌握句型：①For thousands of tourists from China， this small island in Southeast Asia is a wonderful and safe place to take a holiday. ②...Singapore is an English-speaking country... ③...you won’t have any problem getting rice，noodles or dumplings. ④So you can choose to go whenever you like... 2. 能力目标 通过阅读课文，更好地运用记笔记的学习策略，提高阅读能力，了解新加坡的饮食、文化、气候特点和风土人情，开阔视野。 3. 情感目标 了解世界文化的多样性，建立跨文化意识。 重点难点 1. 重点： 掌握本课中的生词、短语和句型。 2. 难点： （1）熟练运用本节课学到的语言点。 （2）阅读短文，获得相关信息，提高运用阅读策略的能力。 教学准备 多媒体课件，录音机，磁带。 教学过程 Step 1 Check the homework Match the words with their meanings.
