Unit 3 Traditional skills 任务型阅读(含解析)牛津深圳版 八年级下册英语题型专项集训 一、任务型阅读 Having a part-time job is an important part of growing up for American teenagers. It can teach them important skills that will be useful for the rest of their lives. And many of them find that making their own money gives them a sense of pride and freedom (自由). American teenagers are allowed to do part-time jobs at the age of 14. During the school year, teenagers may go to work a few times a week after school, and work for longer at weekends. In summer, top part-time jobs for teenagers include at camps, swimming pools and amusement parks (游乐园). These jobs are great for those who want to be active and have fun while making money. Some of the most stressful (压力大的) jobs include teaching, nursing, and police work. These skills help to prepare teenagers for their later lives. When they grow up, the students with work experience are more likely (可能的) to succeed than those without work experience. A favourite job for many teenagers is babysitting. As long as they stay in the house and make sure the kids are okay, babysitters can do their homework, watch TV, or talk on the phone with their friends. After the kids go to bed and before the parents come home, babysitters have lots of freedom. It can be stressful to balance school, homework and a part-time job. However, many American teenagers value their work experience and the skills they get from the job. 1题完成句子;2~3题简略回答问题;4题找出并写下全文的主题句;5题将文中划线句子译成汉语。 1.In summer, top part-time jobs for teenagers include at camps, and amusement parks. 2.When are American teenagers allowed to do part-time jobs 3.What is a favourite job for many teenagers 4. 5. 阅读下面短文,完成短文后的问题。 We all enjoy being part of a group—there’s no better work than teamwork, right Actually, I disagree. It’s a much better fit for me, and it has made me think about why teamwork can make our jobs harder rather than easier. To start with, personalities (个性)can make team work difficult. There’s often someone on the team that puts their needs first. The team often goes along with this person, whose ideas might not be the best, just the loudest. Just one difficult personality can make team work bine(结合)several challenging personality types, and it’s even harder. Not having enough time together can also make teamwork challenging. For example, I was once on a team where we never had enough time to meet as a group. To successfully work as a team, you need time together. A final reason teamwork is difficult is because there’s often no training on how to work on a team. You can’t just put people in a room and expect them to work well with each other.
