The two people will act as part-time workers. If they each work half the job, for example, they each receive 50 percent of the job’s wages, its holidays and its other benefits. But job sharing differs from part-time because most of the jobs shared are white-collar jobs. Most people who choose to share jobs are women. A survey carried out in 2010 by a British organization showed that 78 percent of the sharers were female, and most of them were between 20 and 40 years old. Many of these women came back to the job market after having children.
