I want to take a bath as well. ★suit ① v. 适合；适宜于 这个外套适合我。 This coat suits me. 这个外套一点儿都不适合我。 This coat doesn’t suit me at all. 一点钟？那个时间对我来说不合适。 One o’clock That does not suit me. ② v. 相称，相当，合某人之意 The climate here suits me very well. 这里的期候非常适合我。 蓝色与她相配。 Blue suits her. 3）n. 套装 adj. suitable 适当的，相称的，合适的 我为那个聚会找到一个合适的地方。 I found a suitable place for the party. be suitable for sb 适合某人 这本书不适合儿童阅读 This book isn’t suitable for children. ★ pretty 1） adj. 漂亮的（用于女性，小孩，小而极漂亮的东西等） 可爱的女孩 a pretty girl 2）adv. 颇，相当，非常 那部电影非常好。 The movie is pretty good. 他现在相当老。 He is pretty old now. 形容词的比较级和最高级 两者进行比较时，用比较级，“比…更”。 三者或三者以上进行比较时，用最高级， “最…”. 比较级的变化规则： 1）单音节词尾加er和est变成比较级和最高级 new—newer--newest hard –harder—hardest great—greater—greatest 2.单音节以e结尾，只加r和st --large—larger—largest --nice—nicer—nicest 3.以重读闭音节结尾，且词尾只有一个辅音字母的词，应双写这个辅音字母，再加er, est. --fat—fatter—fattest --big—bigger—biggest 4. 以‘辅音字母+y’结尾的单词，先把y去掉，再加ier和iest. --easy—easier—easiest --happy—happier—happiest 5.其它双音节和多音节词皆在词前面加more和most --difficult—more difficult—most difficult --important—more important—most important 6.不规则变化 --good/well—better—best --bad/ill—worse—worst --many/much—more—most --little/few—less—least 用法 1. 比较级只用于两者之间 常用于‘比较级+than’结构中。 他比我胖 He is fatter than I. 2.最高级常用于“the+最高级+比较范围”结构 她是这个班里最好的学生。 She is the best student in the class. 他在这个班唱歌最好。 He sings (the)best in the class. 形容词最高级加the,副词最高级常可省去the. 练习 1) 他比我要聪明 He is cleverer than me. 2)中国比美国大 China is larger than the U.S. 3)他们比我们跑得快 They run faster that us. 4)这幅画比那幅画漂亮 This picture is more beautiful than that one. 5)这个女孩是全班最瘦的 The girl is the thinnest in her class. 6)他 ... ...
