This is normally a reliable sign that the volcano is going to erupt within the next few weeks, prompting evacuations of nearby communities. ● Developing cracks on the ground indicates a landslide in the making. Even strong surfaces like pavements can suddenly crack before a landslide brings them down. ● If it suddenly gets very cold outside on a grey, rainy day, there is a high likelihood that it is about to start hailing. 2. Have students answer the third question of A3 on page 18.
