P46 当我们要描述过去的状态或叙述过去发生的事情时，就要用到一般过去时。 一般过去时（一） He was at school last Tuesday. 上周二他在学校。 They were over there a moment ago. 刚才他们在那边。 动词be (is, am, are) 的过去式 原形 am is are 过去式 was was were 下面让我们一起来看一下其具体用法： 1) 肯定句：主语＋was / were＋表语＋其他。如： He was in a bank a moment ago. 刚才他在银行。 They were at home last night. 昨晚他们在家。 2)否定句：在was / were后直接加not即可变为否定句，即：主语＋was / were＋not＋表语 ＋其他。如： Han Mei and Wei Hua were not in the classroom just now. 韩梅和魏华刚才不在教室里。 注意：was not ＝ wasn’t； were not ＝ weren’t。 3) 一般疑问句：把was，were提到句首，句末用问号即可变为一般疑问句。即：Was / Were＋主语＋表语＋其他？ 对一般疑问句的回答，其肯定形式用“Yes, 主语（代词）＋was / were.”； 其否定形式用“No, 主语（代词）＋wasn’t / weren’t.”。 — Was she late this morning 她今天早上迟到了吗？ — Yes, she was. / No, she wasn’t. 是的，她迟到了。/ 不，她没迟到。 — Were they at your party last night 昨晚他们在你的聚会上吗？ — Yes, they were. / No, they weren’t. 是的，他们在。/不，他们不在。 be的过去时有四巧 一是时间状语巧， 表示过去的短语要记牢； 二是形式巧，单数was，复数were； 否定句结构是三巧，not紧跟was／were； 四是疑问句式巧，was／were向前跑（提前）。 1.
