These will be achieved by the following: 1. Ss will be able to use the object clause to talk about something. 2. Ss will be able to write something with object clause. 教学内容 教学重点: It is important for the Ss to be able to use the object clause to talk and write about something. 教学难点: It may be difficult for the Ss to talk about an event of their own with object clause. 教学过程 Step 1 Revision and lead-in 1.Brainstorming 2.Free talk about some easy questions about,friends,friendship. Q1. What should a good friend be like Q2. What does your good friend do for you 设计意图: 复习U2内容,引导学生综合运用所学内容进行口语输出,锻炼口语表达能力。 Step 2 Presentation 1.Talk about problems in friendship A boy’s problem Betty’s problem Tony’s problem Use sentences like this: Opinion:I think/believe/guess/am sure/know/ (that) your friend… Advice:I think/suggest (that) you… 2.Describe Lingling’s problem Try to use object clause as many as possible (that,whether/if,what,who,when,why,where,how) A reference(参考) My best friend borrowed my money one year ago and didn’t pay it back. Several days ago,I asked her whether she forgot it. She argued(吵架) with me and said that I didn’t trust her. I can ’t find out what the reason is.I also didn’t understand why she looks indifferent(冷淡的)after that. Now we don’t talk to each other.I wonder whether she has regretted doing that.I couldn’t decide whether I should call her or talk with her. I’m upset. T:Here are conversations about calling.Let’s complete the conversations.(Activity 4) T: Don’t worry if you can’t get someone who you are calling for help at the moment. And you needn’t worry too much when facing problems, think carefully and if necessary, ask someone around you for help. 设计意图:引导学生学会针对问题,寻求电话求助或向周围人求助,以此疏导自己内心的问题,获取提供相应的建议,并训练学生思维的正确性,激发学生对所帮之人的感恩。 2.Complete the conversation with “if, what, when, whether, or why”(Activity 4) 设计意图:进一步巩固疑问词引导的宾语从句。 Step4.Analysis the basic rules and qualities of the object clause 设计意图:再次呈现语法旨在对本模块语法知识的复习巩固,帮助学生巩固。 Step 5 Writing(try to use as many object clause as possible ) Lingling had a problem with her best friend.
