Free talk Show some pictures of cartoon heroes and ask “What do you know about them ” 2. Introduce my favourite cartoon hero: Tintin. (Purpose: Tintin may be hard for students to understand, so I explain it at first and also show them how to understand a cartoon hero.) Step 2 Fast reading 1. Let students find what cartoon heroes are mentioned 2. Ask about the creator of Journey to the West (Purpose: Let student know the meaning of creator and use a simple question to arouse students’ awareness.) Step 3 Careful reading 1.
