第四节 数词 数词是表示数目、数字和顺序的词。数词可分为基数词和序数词两种。 考点： 1.基数词 2.序数词 一、基数词 表示人或事物数量多少的词叫基数词。 基数词一般用作定语、主语、宾语、表语或同位语。 基数词的构成： 1.1—12的基数词是独立的单词，有其各自的形式。 one,two,three,four,five,six,seven,eight,nine,ten,eleven,twelve 2.13—19的基数词都以后缀-teen结尾，单词的两个音节重读。 thirteen,fourteen,fifteen,sixteen,seventeen,eighteen,nineteen 3.20—90的整十数都以后缀-ty结尾。 twenty,thirty,forty,fifty,sixty,seventy,eighty,ninety 4.十位数与个位数之间加连字符“-”构成。 例：21 twenty-one, 99 ninety -nine 5.百位和十位之间加and。 例：101 one hundred and one, 158 one hundred and fifty-eight 6.1000以上的数字，从后往前数，每三位数作为一个单位，分别为thousand,million,billion。在每一个单位内，按三位数构成拼写。 例：9,308,657,421 nine billion three hundred and eight million six hundred and fifty -seven thousand four hundred and twenty -one 二、序数词 表示人或事物顺序的词叫序数词。 序数词一般用作主语、宾语、定语、状语或表语。 序数词的构成： 1.1—12的序数词有其各自的形式。 first,second,third,fourth,fifth,sixth,seventh,eighth,ninth,tenth,eleventh,twelth 2.13—19的序数词在词尾加-th。 thirteenth,fourteenth,fifteenth,sixteenth,seventeenth,eighteenth,nineteenth 3.20—90的整十数去y加ieth。 twentieth,thirtieth,fortieth,fiftieth,sixtieth,seventieth,eightieth,ninetieth 4.20到100间的非整十的序数词表达为前基数词，后序数词。 例：第25 twenty-fifth第46 forty-sixth 三、数词的应用 1.序数词前一般加定冠词the,但序数词与不定冠词a/an连用时，表示“又一，再一”。 例：You've done it three times.Why not try a fourth time 2.数词前加every,表示“每……;每隔……”。 例：every ten days =every ninth day每十天(每隔九天) 3.基数词的复数形式表示年代和年龄。 (1)表示年代：in+the+年份的复数“在几世纪几十年代”。 例：在十九世纪七十年代in the 1870s (2)表示年龄：“in+one's+整十的复数”表示一个不确定的年龄。 例：在他四十多岁时in his forties 4.hundred /thousand /million /billion (1)hundred /thousand /million /billion前有基数词修饰时，其后不加s,也不加of。 例：There are two thousand students in our school. (2)hundred/thousand /million /billion后接of时，通常用复数。 例：Every year thousands of visitors come to our town.
