The story was first written in the 18th century by Frenchman Antoine Galland in the first European version of The One Thousand and One Nights, the book of Middle Eastern folk tales also known as Arabian Nights. It tells the story of a street-smart poor kid named Aladdin whose life changes suddenly when he meets a magical spirit that gives him a magic lamp and can grant him three wishes. Many reviews think Will Smith who stars Genie, does a nice job, or at least a good enough job. He adds the roles with his own personality and made it work. The one way that the film does make a big success is how it handles Princess Jasmine who has a lot more agency in the new film, and even gets her own song, an original tune written for the film called “Speechless.” Frankly speaking, no review s don't think the song is good. Through the running time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, you will not regret taking your children to appreciate the life journey of the honest and up-right boy, helping you teach them much. 1.
