Be able to ask and describe things happened in the past. 【课前预习】 散步 给奶牛挤奶 骑马 喂鸡 和农民交谈 拍一些照片 【教学过程】 Step1:Warming-up and lead in Greetning Who was in duty yestrsday What was the weather like yesterday Song: Play the song “Old MacDonald had a farm” and find out the animals. On the farm, there are some ducks, cats, chickens, cows, pigs and horses. They are animals Step2:Presentation 1. Show a picture and tell students: This is also a farm. Last week Carol and his claassmates had a school trip. They went to the farm. What did they do on the farm How was their trip 2. Show some pictures again and try to find the past tense verbs expressions according to the pictures. 3. Work on 1a. Read the words on the left and look at the pictures on the right. Write the letters of the events on the line. Then check the answers. Step3:Listening 1b Let’s listen to the tape, and circle the three things Carol did on her school trip in 1a. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and check the answers. Step4:Pair work 1. Present the conversation in 1b on the big screen and ask Ss to practice it. 2. Make their own conversations using the noodles in the picture. 3. Let some pairs act out their conversations. Step5: Listening 1. Work on 2a Listen and check the questions you hear. 2. Work on 2b Listen again. Circle T for true or F for false. Check the answers. 2. 2c Ask and answer questions about Carol’s visit to the farm. Step6:Pair work 1.Ask and answer questions with your partner. Step7:Role-play 1. Ask Ss to read the conversation in 2d and find the answer to this question: What did Eric do Where did he go How was the weather there How was his trip 2. Check the answers with the Ss. 3.
