Unit 8 Dates of the Month 文化和语言注释 1.本单元的话题是一年的十二个月份和主要 出卷网节日。主要内容是复习十二个月份的英文名称；在学习顺序数词the first 到the thirty-first的基础上，学习日期的表达法；学习询问日期的句型What’s the date today 及其回答。在时态方面复习一般现在时，总结读作/ｅ?/的字母组合air 和ear。 2.—What’s the date today，Wang Tao （王涛，今天几号？） —It’s May 29.Why （5月29日。为什么问这个问题？） （1）What day is today 出卷网是“今天星期几？”；而What’s the date today 是“今天是几号？”要提醒学生加以区分。 （2）月份名称后紧接着表示几号的数字是序数 出卷网词，May 29虽然没有在29后加th，读的时候依然要读成 May the twenty-ninth。 3.My birthday will come in three days.（三天后是我的生日。） （1）介词in在表示位置时是“在……里面”的意思，如： Sally’s mother is in the kitchen.（萨利的妈妈在厨房里。） （2）介词in 表示时间时 出卷网有“在……期间”的意思，如：in the morning，in 2008，in spring等。介词in表示时间时，如果句子使用的是将来时，in也有“在……之后”的意思。如： He’ll come back in a week.（他将于一周之后回来。） My birthday will come in three days.使用的是将来时，in three days指的是“三天后”。 4.—It’s difficult to find on the calendar.（在日历上很难找到。） —Ah，I know.It’s February 29.（啊，我知道了，是2月29日。） （1）difficult是形容词，意思是“困难的”，其反义词是easy。 （2）2月29日不在普通年份中出现，只在闰年中出现。 5.课本第58页的Ask and answer.部分的12张日历的读法如下： January 20January the twentieth February 21February the twenty-first March 23March the twenty-second April 23April the twenty-third May 24May the twenty-fourth June 25June the twenty-fifth July 26July the twenty-sixth August 27August the twenty-seventh September 28September the twenty-eighth October 29October the twenty-ninth November 30November the thirtieth December 31December the thirty-first 6.December 25 is Ch 出卷网ristmas day.Before it people are very busy.（12月25日是圣诞节。在此之前人们很忙。） before 是“在……之前”的意思。如： We must wash our hands before meals.（我们饭前应该洗手。） 7.Mr King is busy writing Christmas cards.（金先生忙着写贺卡。） be busy doing sth是“忙着做某事”的意思。如： Mother is busy making Easter eggs.（妈妈忙着做复活节彩蛋。） 8.He wants to say Merry Christmas to his friends.（他要祝贺朋友们圣诞节快乐。） 9.Mrs King is busy with her Christmas tree.（金太太忙着装饰圣诞树。） （1）Mrs是mistress 的 出卷网简称，用于称呼已婚女性，意思是“夫人，太太”，Mrs后接已婚女性的夫姓。Mr and Mrs King是“金先生和金太太”的意思。 （2）be busy with sth是“忙于某事”的意思，由于with是介词，这个词组后可接名词、代词或动名词。如： The pupils are busy with their homework.（学生们忙着他们的作业。） 这个句子也可以说成：The pupils are busy doing their homework. 10.February 29 is 出卷网 Wang Tao’s birthday.It comes every four years.（2月29日是王涛的生日。这个日子每四年才有一次。） 11.课本第62页的韵律诗及其译文： Busy 忙 Busy writing cards, 忙着写圣诞贺卡， Busy with the tree, 忙着装饰圣诞树， Busy sending emails, 忙着给朋友发电子邮件， Busy ... ...
