So who is he 3.Play a video clip of the movie Chang An where Li Bai's monologue of his famous poem Invitation to wine is shown to give students a vivid imagery of his romantic Through riddles,the author introduces the poet Li Bai and his poem "Night Stay in Mountain Temple"to guide students to further understand Li Bai and feel the artistic style of his poetry. While Reading 1.Have students familiarize the text with the help of a video version of the transcript and summarize the main idea of each part. Part 1 (Para.1): Introduction to Li Bai's romantic style. Part 2 (Paras.2-4): The shaping of Li Bai's romantic style. Part 3 (Para.5): Features of Li Bai's poetry. Part 4 (Para.6): The reputation and influence of Li Bai and his poems. By completing the mind map,students can clarify the structure of the discourse and have an overall grasp of the main idea of the discourse. 2.Invite students to read in details to analyse each part of the text. 1)Give students two questions to better understand the poem in paragraph 1. 2)Read Paragraphs 2-4 to analyse the structure and fill in the mind map.
