Unit 3 Conservation Lesson 3 Period 1 教材分析 本课是一节阅读课，该语篇主要由两部分构成，第一部分主要介绍了汽车对英国社会人们的 影响，如汽车数量的增长、车祸造成的死亡率、汽车污染以及引发的各种疾病等；第二部分 主要介绍了环保专家给出的如何减少使用汽车的五条环保建议，虽然合理且简单易行，但是 人们在执行时有一定的困难，主要是汽车成为了生活的一部分，人们已经离不开汽车了。 教学目标 在本课学习结束时，学生能够： 1.了解英国社会汽车对人们的影响； 2. 明确作者的观点，就环保专家提出的如何减少汽车使用的建议发表自己的看法； 3.对比中西方汽车文化，提升环保意识。 教学重难点 【教学重点】 1.通过学习这篇文章，使学生了解在英国汽车对人们都有哪些影响。 2.能够结合实际，就如何减少汽车使用的建议发表看法并对建议进行补充，提升环保意识。 【教学难点】 通过了解汽车对人们生活的影响，如何从我做起，减少汽车使用，为环保事业做贡献。 教学过程 Step 1 Warm Up 1.Take turns to ask and answer questions. 1)How do you travel to school every day 2)How much time do you spend travelling to school every day 3) How do you feel when you get stuck in traffic jams 4) Why have your parents decided to rent an apartment near our school 2.Report your partner's answers to the class. 设计意图：从学生的日常生活着手，谈论每天如何到校、花多长时间、感受如何等，基于生 活，学生有话可说，自然导入本课学习。 Step 2 Read and Explore 1.Below is a passage about car uses in Britain.Guess the answers to the questions before you read the passage. 设计意图：读前预测答案，为下一步阅读做好铺垫。 2.Read Part l of the passage.Check your predictions/answers. 1/5 设计意图：快速读第一部分内容，核实预测的答案是否正确。 3.Scan and summarize. 设计意图：通读第一、二部分，总结归纳两部分大意，并引导学生思考作者开篇两个对话的 用意。 4.What are the problems caused by cars (Part 1) 设计意图：细节阅读，找出第一部分提到的汽车带来的几个问题。 5.Skill Builder Taking Notes (2) 设计意图：清楚了解记笔记阅读策略，同时复习必修三第八单元第二课听力记笔记策略，为 接下来阅读记笔记做好准备。 5.Read Part 1 more carefully.Complete the notes in the diagram.Then think about any possible solutions to the problems; 6.Read Part 2 and complete the notes. 设计意图：利用记笔记阅读策略，完成两部分阅读笔记。 7.Think about the following questions: 设计意图：重点读第二部分内容，找出人们不愿意放弃开车的理由及其原因；熟练掌握专家 关于如何减少汽车使用的建议。 Step 3 Retell Retell the text according to the structure of the text. 设计意图：根据文章结构图(思维导图),复述课文内容。巩固所学，为后面小组讨论输出 做准备。 Step 4 Discuss In groups,discuss these questions. 1 What is the writer's attitude towards cars Find some evidence from the passage. 2 How do you understand the title“The Road to Destruction” 3 Are the traffic problems in your city better,worse or the same as those in Britain 4 What has the government done or what should it do to help with traffic problems 设计意图：小组活动，四个讨论问题选一个进行深入探讨，问题涉及到作者态度、文章标题 理解，联系实际，比较自己所居住城市的交通和伦敦交通状况、政府为改进交通都做了哪些 工作等，这是读后任务的延伸和拓展，有利于学 ... ...
