Greeting 2. Have Ss brainstorm of countryside: Have you ever been to the countryside What did you do in the countryside Show the words you know about the countryside. 3.Show Ss PPT of outdoor activities. Which outdoor activity do you like best What adventures did you have Step2 Presentation 1. Show Ss pictures of part1. Have Ss talk about the pics. 2. Read questions and predict answers: What’s wrong with Alvin Where did he go What did he do outdoors 3. Listen and write down answers on their notebooks. Check answers in pairs. Then check with T. 4. Listen 2nd and say yes or no in part 2. Step3 Practice 1. Draw a timeline to show the difference of past continuous tense(过去进行时) and past indefinite tense(一般过去时). 2. Write the sentence “On Saturday morning, my dad and I were walking up a really big hill”. Have Ss say the tense. Step4 Production 3. Listen again and choose the words in part 3. 4. Have them check their answers with the desk mates. Teacher checks the answer. Step5 Progress 1.
