Vincent van Gogh (Mini-lecture) Interactive Activity1: Brainstorm the information about Van Gogh based on the following questions. Questions: (1) Who was Vincent van Gogh Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) was a Dutch post-Impressionist painter who had a talent for painting but was not appreciated. (2) What is he famous for He is famous for his use of color. He was especially good at using bright colors to symbolize his strong emotions, and the subjects in his paintings mostly displayed his feelings about life. Interactive Activity 2: Listen to the mini-lecture for the first time and finish the first choice in Ex II in the textbook. Interactive Activity 3: Listen to the mini-lecture again and fill in the blanks. Questions before listening to the lecture: (1) In the mini-lecture, what two aspects are talked about Two aspects are talked in the lecture. Van Gogh’s personal life and his works.
