Play Games. Making actions. 批 注 教学过程: Step 1 Warm-up activity First, teacher should introduce herself to the students. And at the same time, teacher should introduce the rules the students should obey in the English class and after the class. Ask all the students to make a self-introduction one by one. Teacher say hello to everyone and say Nice to meet you to everyone. And try to remember all the students’ names as soon as possible. Introduce the people in this book, including Mary, Lingling , Chen Dong, Dino, Tim, Lily, Anne, Helen… Let students try to remember their names. Step 2 Presentation & drill 1. Give students three minutes to read the conversation by themselves, and circle the difficult words. Teacher play the tape, let students read it. Ss understand “This is sb.” 2. Teacher plays the tape again, this time let students follow it, and try to remember the conversation, and try to retell it. 3. Teacher asks some students to introduce their friends. This is my friend, _____. The other students say Nice to meet you to him or her. Then teacher give students three minutes to practice this conversation, introduce his or her friend to his or her another friend. And teacher goes around the classroom to check their pronunciation. Then ask some pairs of students to act their conversation in the class. 4. Play the cassette of Part B and Part C, let students read after the cassette. And ask some students to check whether they have already know the meaning. Step 3 Practice 1. Play a game. Ask students to remember the people in the leaf. Such as: Mary, Lingling , Chen Dong, Dino, Tim, Lily, Anne, Helen. Then put these pictures together, let students guess who is he or she 2. Play another game, check the teacher’s memory.
