Unit 2 Saving the Earth Topic 3 What can we do at home to protect the environment Section B 一、教材分析: What:本单元的主题是拯救地球,该部分是第三个话题第二课,针对第一和第二话题中提出的问题着重为学生提供解决环境污染的办法,是对第一、二话题的递进与深入,与前两个话题联系密切。本话题通过设置环境污染解决方案以及新能源开发的情景引导学生学习和环境保护的词汇与表达法,学习如何表达自我观点,提出建议等,同时学习由and,but, or, while引导的并列句,丰富学生的表达,增强学生的环保意识以及为学生提供切实可行的环保方案,最后通过sharing的活动对所学内容进行应用。 本课是 通过Jane 告诉Michael怎样才能成为一个环保人士来继续学习提建议的表达方式,同时也向学生继续传递更多的环保理念。并呈现了英语俚语的应用。 How:从文本结构来看,这是一篇人与自我的对话课,从语言形式结构来看,作者使用了表列点的序数词清晰的说明如何为保护环境尽一份力。还使用了俚语来鼓励大家行动。文本用了第二人称和一般现在时,是典型的给建议的形式。 Why:本课的各个环节都在传递环保理念。这对学生的环保意识的培养是非常有意义的。鼓励学生在日常生活中始终保持良好的环保习惯。 教学重点: Words and phrases: action, ought to, shut off, after all, electricity Sentences: Easier said than done. Understand passive voice. 二、教学目标 By the end of the class, the students will be able to: (1)master the new vocabularies and phrases. (2)use the ordinal number to give suggestions to be a greener person. 三、学情分析 学生基础较为薄弱,一部分因为程度跟不上,到初三个渐渐对英语失去了兴趣,但还有一部分虽然基础差,但还是愿意开口跟着老师说,尤其是在开展小组竞赛的基础上还是能够积极地参与课堂。另外本节课生词只有6个,主要是让学生说说切实可行的环保方案,贴近生活,考虑到互助合作学习,因此采用小组对话来完成语言输出,以及思维导图来巩固。 四、教学方法与教学手段 1.教学方法:本节课主要采用听说教学法,教学互动法,直观教学法,任务型教学法,小组合作学习。 2.教学手段:借助板书和希沃白板等信息技术平台的完成本课的教学。 五、教学过程: Stage 1 Warming Greeting Watching a video about sorting the garbage. Stage 2 Pres-listening Present some pictures to learn the new words. Let students look the picture and guess : what are they talking about Stage 3 While-listening Listen to 1a and finish 1b. Listen again and fill in the blanks. Stage 4 Post-reading Listen and follow Practice 1a in pairs. Retell 1a according to mind map. Finish 2 to know more ways to be a greener person. Read a passage and fill in the blanks with correct words. Stage 5 Sharing Give a speech about : to be a greener person. Stage 6 Summarizing and assigning let’s sum up this section. What have you learned today Search for more information about environmental protection.
