Ss are encouraged to give answers by referring to their rewritten texts in their notebooks (homework last time). T checks Ss' answers and their rewritten texts. T gives comments on Ss' language accuracy and fidelity to the original text. Ss revise their texts according to T's suggestions. 及时复习巩固上一节课所学的语言知识,并反馈作业情况以便教师评定学生进行同义词替换改写的技能水平,为后续教学作铺垫。 借助上一课时的改写作业介绍北美大草原的基本情况;依据教师对作业的点评意见修改完善改写作业。 T asks the following question to introduce today's topic: We have learnt that a prairie ecosystem is important to the nature. How can we let people around us know about it and start to protect it T elicits from Ss that we can make flyers to introduce it and the importance of protecting it. 引入本课环保宣传单这一主题。 说出利用海报等媒介宣传草原生态系统。 Pre-reading4’ T asks Ss what measures they will introduce if they design a flyer for the prairie ecosystem. T encourages Ss to tell their ideas. Then, T shows pictures to explain that as a powerful and key part of the nature and earth ecosystem, human society can affect earth ecosystem both directly and indirectly and all of us can take measures to help protect it. T gives examples of protection measures in daily life and encourages Ss to brainstorm more measures in groups.
