To get information about Jane’s colourful school life from the article with the mind maps. 2. To talk about the colourful school life with the opinions and the facts and to make an activity flash card to introduce the students’ own school life. 教学难点: 1. To analyze the good influence from the school life by exploring and integrating information. 2.To express opinions about why Jane thinks her school life is colourful. 教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up 1. Look at Chen Xinxin’s student ID card. 2. Ask relative questions according to the ID card. 3. Define the meaning of “school life journal”. Purpose: To arouse students’ interest in the topic by looking at an ID card and guide them to know the meaning of the “school life journal”. (感知与注意) Step 2 Pre-reading 1. Read the title to know the topic of Chen Xinxin’s journal. 2. Predict by answering “What does Chen Xinxin talk about in her journal ” 3. Read and focus on the parts mentioned in Chen Xinxin’s journal. Purpose: To develop students’ ability to grasp the subject from the title and activate their previous knowledge about the school life with the questions. Step 3 While-reading 1. Read the picture and predict the content of the article. (可结合图片描述学校,判断Jane对于学校生活的评价) 2. Read for the writing structure and match the main ideas with the paragraphs. 3. Read and make a mind map to organize the detailed information. Purpose: To help students comprehend the main idea and recognize the writing structure of the article.(获取与梳理) 4.
