助学案 Unit 3 A Day Out Welcome to the unit 【学习目标】 To introduce well-known foreign cities and popular places of interest. To activate existing knowledge of the world and identify names of places and countries. To guess meaning from pictures. 【课堂活动】 Level 1—Free talk (To lead in the experience of travelling) National Day is coming. What are you going to do (Student may say different places they plan to go.) Level 2—Look and guess (To practice the sentence ”what are you going to do ”) Look at the pictures and try to guess which one we should choose Watch and answer (To watch the video and check out the answers of Level 2) Level 3—Read and answer (To get familiar with the passage ) Work in pairs and do the ask and answer Why is it good for Eddie to do the exercise Does Eddie really want to do the exercise Level 4—Recite and act (To give students’ a chance to give the performance) Recite the passage for 3 minutes and act it out (小组合作，组内互助：No.1-No.6; No. 2-No.4; No.3-No.4) Level 5—Look and guess (To lead in the different places of the world) Look at the picture and guess what “I” am going to do. Recommend the best place to me and give the certain reasons. Level 6—Watch and choose (Finish Part A) Read the postcards and choose the right answers. Level 7—Do the matching (To know the different places of interest) Match the names of places of interest with the pictures Level 8—Brainstorming (To know the well-known foreign cities and places of interest) Students say out the names of places of interest as soon as possible while seeing the pictures. Level 9 – Read and answer (To know the passage ) Read the passage and answer the questions How long is the Golden Gate Bridge How wide is the Bridge What’s the bridge made of How heavy is the bridge Level 10—Make conversations (To master the way to introduce the famous places) Use the models on the screen and work in pairs to make a new dialogue. Prepare for 3minutes.
