My clock rings _____ loudly _____ it will certainly wake me up. although Although so that although / though 尽管…… 引导让步状语从句，though多用于口语中。 e.g. I can look after myself, although it won’t be easy for me. 我可以照顾自己，尽管这可能对我而言不容易。 Although / Though I was at home alone, I didn't feel lonely. 尽管我一个人在家，但我并不觉得孤单。 让步状语从句 新课讲授 【注意】 although / though与but通常不能同时使用，但可以和yet， still同时使用。 e.g. Although the sun was shining, it wasn’t very warm. =The sun was shining, but it wasn’t very warm. 虽然阳光灿烂，但是并不怎么暖和。 Although he is very old, (yet) he is quite strong. 尽管他上了年纪，身体还很强壮。 结果状语从句 so…that… 如此……以致于…… 引导结果状语从句 so后跟形容词或副词，表示程度，that后接从句表示这一程度千万的影响或结果。 e.g. Alan walked so fast that No one could catch him. 艾伦走得如此快，没人赶得上他。 It is so expensive a restaurant that I have never been there. 这家餐厅如此贵，我从来没去过。 1. so that既可以引导目的状语从句，也可引导结果状语从句 e.g. Yesterday morning Yang Cheng got up early so that she could catch the first bus. (目的) 昨天早上杨成为了赶上早班车起床很早。 Yesterday morning Yang Cheng got up early, so that she caught the first bus. (结果) 昨天早上杨成起床很早，因此赶上了早班车。 拓展 2. such … that …作“如此…以致于”解，连接一个表示结果的状语从句。与so…that 意思相同，但用法不同。so … that这一结构中，so后边可加形容词或副词， 而such后边要用名词(这个名词前面可以有形容词修饰，也可以没有) The teacher is so good that every student loves him. = He is such a good teacher that every student loves him. 他是一位好老师以致于每个学生都爱戴他。 拓展 如果名词前有表示数量多少的词，如 many, few, much, little等修饰时，用so不用such。 e.g. There were so many people in the street that we had to decide to return home. 公园里这么多人，我们只好决定回家。 little：小的，修饰名词，其前面仍须用such, 而不用so。 e.g. They are such little children that they can’t do anything. 这些孩子太小了，做不了什么事。 中考真题小试 1.
