Grammar 一、v.-ing形式作定语的位置 1. 现在分词(doing)作定语，可表示主动和动作正在进行，其被动形式(being done)通常表示被动的、正在进行的动作。 2. 现在分词作定语可转化为定语从句。 3. 现在分词作定语分为前置定语和后置定语： (1)单个现在分词作定语时，一般会放在被修饰的名词之前，说明被修饰名词的性质或特征等，构成前置定语。 (2)现在分词短语作定语时，一定放在被修饰成分的后面，构成后置定语。 例句： He is an attacking player. 他是一个攻击型的运动员。 A little child learning to walk often falls. 学走路的小孩常常摔跤。 Do you know the number of people coming to the party 你知道来参加晚会的人数吗 当v.-ing形式作后置定语时，可以相当于相应的定语从句。 A young man writing novels came to speak to us yesterday.
