(1)“It is”: the present tense(or the future tense);“It was”: the past tense. (2)“that”(if the focus is not a person) or “who/that” (if the focus is a person). ( an it-cleft sentence ) ( a normal sentence ) 区分 1. 强调谓语 eg. I love Beijing. I do love Beijing. She does like playing the piano. We did have a wonderful picnic yesterday. eg. She likes playing the piano. eg. We had a wonderful picnic yesterday. 2. 强调其它成分 四座大山：主语，宾语，表语，状语 eg. It was Li hua that organized the activity. eg. It was Li hua that I came across yesterday. eg. It was yesterday that I came across Li hua. eg. It was in the school that I came aross Li hua. 基本结构 It is/was +被强调部分+that/who+其它 I picked a very cute cat in the park last year. 强调主语 强调宾语 强调地点状语 强调时间状语 主语 宾语 地点状语 时间状语 It was I that/who picked a very cute cat in the park last year. It was a very cute cat that I picked in the park last year. It was in the park that I picked a very cute cat last year. It was last year that I picked a very cute cat in the park. 特别提醒 1. It本身没有词义，但不能用其他词代替 2.被强调部分指人时用that/who均可，其它情况一律用that 3.被强调部分无论是单数还是复数，It后的be动词均用单数，即is或was eg. It is our monitor who/that manages our class every day. 4. 判断一个句子是否是强调句的方法：去掉It is/was与that/who,剩余部分若结构完整、句意明确，则为强调句。 eg. It is along the river that I have a walk at dusk. (1). It was Xiao Hua who/that inscribed(题字) Pingchuan Middle School in 1985. (2).It was Long March Song Sycle that Xiao Hua created in 1954. (3).
