    教学设计 课程基本信息 学科 初中英语 年级 八年级 学期 秋季 课题 Module 4 Planes, ships and trains Unit 3 Language in use(第二课时) 教学目标 1. 通过真实情境中的问题,探究旅行计划的要素和内容; 2. 通过运用形容词和副词的最高级形式,分析与描述旅游地点并比较与选择交通工具; 3. 通过复习模块主题内容,创编一份家庭旅行计划。 教学内容 教学重点: 1. 探究旅行计划的要素和注意事项,以解决真实情境中的问题; 2. 运用形容词和副词的最高级形式描述旅游地点与比较交通工具。 教学难点: 1.分析与评价不同的交通工具,并选择最合适的交通工具; 2.基于家庭成员的需求与爱好,设计一个家庭旅行计划。 教学过程 Step 1 Brainstorm T shows the module task and inspires Ss to make a travel plan for Joe’s family.(why) Ss talk about the elements of a travel plan. T shows a sample of a travel plan including who, when, where, how and what.(what) Ss discuss and think about the steps of making a travel plan. T summarizes them into four steps.(how) Purpose: To elicit the module task and enable Ss to know what a travel plan is like and how to make a travel plan. This can help them get ready for the later exploration. Step 2 Listening practice Ss review superlative rules and listen for information about four cities in Britain. Ss listen again and think about the good points and bad points of visiting London. T shows a map of China and asks Ss to find a place to visit for Joe’s family and talk about reasons. Purpose:To help Ss review the language structure and encourage Ss to use the structure to talk about their ideas. Step 3 Reading practice Ss read the passage from Around the World and label the map. Ss analyze the ways to travel from Shanghai to Beijing by completing a table. Ss help Joe decide the best way of travelling and show their reasons. Purpose: To drill the target language structure and to improve Ss analyzing ability and thinking quality. Step 4 Speaking practice Ss read Beijing Tourist Map and design a three-day tour for Joe’s family and explain their reasons. T inspires Ss to think about more details that can be added to the travel plan. T shows the video of some travel plans. Purpose: To help Ss know the function of a travel plan and make Ss learn to consider people’s needs and likes while making a family travel plan. Step 5 Module task T shows the module task and the checklist. Ss make their own family travel plan. Purpose: To enable Ss to apply what they have learned in real life practice. Homework: Must do:Produce the travel plan and present it in class.
