While lesson: Step 1: Lead in the big question Look at the picture. T: Where are they Ss: They are at home. T: Who are they Ss: They are ... They have a big family. T: What are they doing What can they do Ss: They can clean the table. They can draw, sing, dance and take pictures. Say the chant. T: What can you do Let us listen to a chant. I can sing a song for you. I can draw a picture too. I can dance—look at me! I can do things for my family. T: Listen, chant and find the key words. Ss: Sing a song, draw a picture and dance. Think about the big question. What can you do for your family Step 2: Cartoon time 1. Lead in the cartoon. T: Look at the picture and guess who they are. Ss: They are Bobby and Bobby’s grandpa. 2. Have a picture walk. Guess: Does Bobby love his grandpa What can Bobby do for his grandpa 3. Listen and finish the exercise on page 69. Read and tick. 4. Check the answer. Teach the key sentences: I can dance for you. I can draw a picture for you. 5. Ask: How does grandpa feel Bobby can sing and draw for his grandpa. Bobby’s grandpa feels happy. He loves Bobby very much. Read the story with the teacher. 6. Act the cartoon with your friends or parents. 7. Think: What can you do for your grandpa and grandma Make a drawing and talk about it. a.
