IV. Teaching procedures Step 1 Introduction T asks students to think about what is a scrapbook. If they don’t know, look up the word in the dictionary. T: Hello, everyone! Do you know what is a scrapbook A scrapbook is a book with empty pages where you can stick pictures, newspaper articles, or other things you want to keep. Can you think of the “other things” mentioned in the definition 【设计意图：学生理解什么是scrapbook，通过查字典，学会探索知识，进而到本课的搜索信息，制作scrapbook。】 Step 2 Preparation 1. T introduces the topic of the scrapbook. T: Today our topic focuses on friendship, a universally acknowledged topic. You know that making a scrapbook is no easy job. So we are going to prepare for it together. 2. T helps students analyse in what aspects we can do some research on friendship and show an example to analyse. T asks Ss to think about the information that can be included for different kinds of the scrapbook pages.
