Unit 10 You're supposed to shake hands. Section A 1a-1c 本单元的主题是 “人与社会”,围绕 “礼仪、习俗”这一话题展开,谈论不同国家的文化习俗。通过对不同国家的风俗习惯,礼仪差异,时间观念和饮食文化等方面的学习,提高学生对不同文化的认识,加深对不同国家文化差异的了解,拓展学生的文化视野,提升学生文化意识、思维品质。通过研读课标、教材和学情分析,确立以下教学目标。 教学目标 语言目标 1)、能认读Brazil, Mexico, Korea 2)、能正确拼、读、写单词和短语:custom, bow, kiss, shake hands, the United States, Japan, be supposed to do sth., for the first time, be expected to do sth. 2.能力目标 通过听说训练,加深对目标语言be supposed/ expected to do的认识。 3.情感目标 通过学习部分国家的见面礼仪,培养学生的跨文化意识,理解、尊重不同的文化。 教学重点 1. 能正确拼、读、写本课时学习的单词、短语。 2. 能正确表达部分国家礼仪习俗方面的差异、会用be supposed to和be expected to句式在不同场合的得体表现。 教学难点 通过听、说、读、看学习部分国家初次见面的礼仪,正确使用be supposed to或be expected to句式对他人提出合理、可行的建议,提升学生的跨文化意识,理解、尊重不同的文化。 教学流程 Step1. Show a tridimensional map to the students. Ask: Do you know where ... is (Ask students to find out where the countries are.) 【设计意图:让学生抽签找出不同国家的在三维地球上的位置, 引出不同国家的习惯,为新句型的学习做好铺垫,起到以旧带新的作用】 Step2. Watch a video《How To Greet People Around The World》 about how to greet people for the first time. 【设计意图:通过观看视频及问题设置,激活学生已有认知,营造学习氛围】 Step3 Show the Theme diagram, look and guess which countries they come from, and what are they supposed to do when they meet for the first time 【设计意图:观察主题图,猜猜他们来自哪个国家,见面时,他们应该怎样打招呼?激活学生参与学习的主动性】 Step4 Listen and fill in the blanks(listen two times),then repeat the conversations.(the third time) 【设计意图:听录音,验证预测,纠正发音,充分放手,让学生自主探索,通过同伴之间互相竞争,激活思维,培养不同层次学生的合作交流意识,达到共同进步的目的】 Step5. Do and Say If you meet someone in the following countries, what are you supposed to do Choose one number and greet people in that country. 【设计意图:通过完成游戏,继续内化新知、突破难点,同时,激发学生的好奇心和求知欲,把学生的注意吸引到学习活动中】 Step6. Show Time In…, what are people supposed/ expected to do when they meet for the first time They are supposed/ expected to … How about in … In…, they’re supposed/ expected to… 【设计意图:呈现句型结构,通过结对活动,给学生更多表达的机会,进一步内化新知、突破难点】 Step7. Expansion拓展延伸 In our daily life, what are we supposed to do in these following situations 1. What are you supposed to do when you see a thief stealing someone's wallet 2. What are you supposed to do when you meet an emergency 【设计意图:通过知识外延,使学生对所学知识能举一反三,达到活学活用的目的】 Step8. Emotion education Each country has its own customs.
