Key words and phrases：cute，cool，lovely，amazing，fly like other birds，funny，interesting，keep warm，stand close，sea animals，clever，smart，sandwich，be good for Key sentences：①—What's your favourite animal？—I like penguins best.②—Why do you like them so much？—Because they are very cute！③—Where are they from？—They're from Antarctica.④They can't fly like other animals，but they can swim fast. Learning Abilities ●Learn to grasp key words，phrases，and sentences. ●Learn to use proper Wh－questions to ask for information. ●Learn to gather information about animals from various sources to develop research skills. Thinking Qualities ●Be able to analyze different aspects of animals such as comparing the looks，homes，and abilities of various species. ●Be able to come up with unique ways to remember or categorize the information about animals，showing creativity in their thinking. T：Look at the picture.What animal is it？Who can guess Ss：Panda./Giraffe./… 【设计意图】通过根据信息猜动物的游戏，学生能够回顾所学单词和句型，帮助老师有效地引入主题。 Step 2　Listening & Speaking(2a～2c) Work on 2a 1．Ask students to listen to the conversation and circle the coloured words they hear.
