Key words and phrases:cute,cool,lovely,amazing,fly like other birds,funny,interesting,keep warm,stand close,sea animals,clever,smart,sandwich,be good for Key sentences:①—What's your favourite animal?—I like penguins best.②—Why do you like them so much?—Because they are very cute!③—Where are they from?—They're from Antarctica.④They can't fly like other animals,but they can swim fast. Learning Abilities ●Learn to grasp key words,phrases,and sentences. ●Learn to use proper Wh-questions to ask for information. ●Learn to gather information about animals from various sources to develop research skills. Thinking Qualities ●Be able to analyze different aspects of animals such as comparing the looks,homes,and abilities of various species. ●Be able to come up with unique ways to remember or categorize the information about animals,showing creativity in their thinking. T:Look at the picture.What animal is it?Who can guess Ss:Panda./Giraffe./… 【设计意图】通过根据信息猜动物的游戏,学生能够回顾所学单词和句型,帮助老师有效地引入主题。 Step 2 Listening & Speaking(2a~2c) Work on 2a 1.Ask students to listen to the conversation and circle the coloured words they hear. T:Wow,you know so many animals.There are three students talking about their favourite animals.Let's listen and circle the coloured words you hear. 2.Ask students to share the answers and the teacher helps to correct their mistakes if necessary.
