Unit 6 Would you mind saying something about your work experience (第二课时教学设计) 一、教材分析 1. 教学内容 本课系教材《英语3(基础模块)》(高教版)第六单元的第二课时,包括Reading and writing部分,具体内容为:阅读一份求职信,根据求职信填写个人简历。该话题与学生不久的将 来找工作息息相关。求职信主体的脉络清晰,理解难度不是很大。学生通过学习,需要了解求职 信应包含的内容,以及撰写个人简历;根据招聘广告,结合自己的专业和特长撰写求职信。 2. 教学重点、难点 (1) 教学重点 能够看懂求职信的内容,并根据求职信写出个人简历。 (2) 教学难点 根据招聘广告,并结合自己的专业和特长撰写求职信。 二、教学目标 1. 知识目标 (1) 学生理解掌握以下词汇和短语:apply for, personal, additional, available, appreciate, advertise, contact, opportunity, major, outgoing, cooperative, deal with, be qualified for。 (2) 学生能够看懂求职信并且能用apply for, appreciate, look forward to, contact, available等 表达与求职有关的信息。 2. 能力目标 (1) 学生能够识别英文招聘广告中的信息,能阅读英文求职信,并能根据要求提取相关信息。 (2) 学生能够根据招聘广告中的相关信息,结合自己的专业撰写英文简历和求职信。 3. 情感目标 学生能用积极的人生态度设计自己的未来,并为之做好准备。 三、教学步骤 Step I Warm-up (Activity 9) 1. Revision: Show some pictures about job interview, which are learnt in 1st period. (resume, job interview, want ads, application form, application letter.) (设计意图:通过展示图片,能激起学生的兴趣,降低难度,同时复习了重点词汇如 “Application letter, Resume”等,为新课的导入奠定基础。) 2. Lead-in — Brainstorming Show 2 application letters to students then ask them to discuss: What should be included in an application letter (Collect answers from the class: address, age, gender, personality, strong points, education, work experience, the source of the information about the position, referee, enclosed resume ... ) (设计意图:由于本专业学生英语基础薄弱,学习主动性不高,所以我预先准备了比较简 单的中英文求职信各一封,让学生从中找出求职信应该包含的相关信息。因为学生词汇 量少,所以允许学生可以用部分中文给出答案,老师给出英文词汇,为下一步的阅读做好 铺垫。) 3. What is the process of finding a job Show some pictures and ask Ss to name out, then put the pictures in order according to the process of finding a job. The pictures are about Want Ads, Job Fair, Application letter, Resume, Interview, etc. When Ss name out the pictures, give them help if necessary. Then ask Ss discuss the order of finding a job. Put the possible answer on blackboard: Want Ads / Job Fair→Application Letter & Resume→Interview→Getting the job (设计意图:通过图片排列形象展示寻找工作流程,让学生明了求职信在寻找工作过程 中所占据的重要地位。) Step II Reading Situation: Suppose a student named Wang Lin will graduate, he is busy looking for a job.
